Hey Look, a $30K E30.
If you're talking 20-30+ years from now then.. Anything's really possible. I was just implying that for the realistic future, an e30 will never be worth 30k (5 years). Mint 2002s hit 30k+ sparingly, and that's only for the most elusive models (Tii/ 72/73 Roundies)
The typical run of the mill 4-door 1990 318i will struggle to hit 10k. However, a stock 1989 325iS or 1991 318iS might no problem and could go for upwards of 20k within the next coming years.
If you're talking 20 years from now, yes e30s will more than likely shoot up to 2002 status, but for the soon future, they'll most likely stabilize around 6-7k like they are now and gradually rise from thereLast edited by JinormusJ; 11-03-2013, 11:18 AM.

Sheep skin seat covers included!!!!I wish mine came with a bunch of magazines about e30s and crap like that! All I have are receipts...
Looks nice but 30K is steep.
IMO those USDM diving boards need to go... Or at the very least tucked...
Edit: Looks like they're selling the e30 M's at a going rate of 40k+...-Christian

Be mine correct or not, its opinion, so take it with a grain of salt.

Euro bumpers and an M Tech 1 kit would make it a real early model iS car. Calling that an iS is a cruel joke.Last edited by Hooffenstein HD; 11-04-2013, 01:25 AM.

And 2002s will be worth their weight in gold bars.
E30s will hit 10k value, there is no doubt; but it will take 5-10 years and they will never hit 30k unless it's an m3. Sorry.
Give it a decade.....I bet original E30s will get to a $12-15K average for good-condition examples.

Hey Look, a $30K E30.
Originally posted by ClayW View Post2002 values have been steadily climbing over the last 10-15 years. I bought my first 02 (actually a 1600) in January of 2000 for $2200. If I had stuck it in a barn and covered it, today it would be worth $12-17K. When I bought it, parts were about as available as E30 parts are now and the price ranges were similar to current E30 prices.

1 pound = 14.58TKO; so a 400TKO Bar would be about 27.5 pounds. Divide the weight of a traditional 2002 (~2000lbs?) by One Gold stack to see how stacks can fit the weight.
2002 will be worth their weight in gold? I think the outrageous number from the math speaks for itself.
While 2002s are steadily rising, and I agree it is warranted, my sarcasm still stands true. 2002s are still struggling to push past 20-25k with only the most elusive models hitting the 30k+ mark. To say an e30 will hit that mark for a traditional run-of-the-mill model before even 2002s have achieved umpteen collectors status is ignorant. However, I do completely agree with you: my opinion is that e30s will hit $10k+ by the end of the decade; whether that's correct or not is up to time.
