Just so I understand correctly, Canada only ever received 4-door models? That would be why the auto-guide specifically said "iX 4-door" - the original purpose of this thread. lol I'm in Canada and the auto-show guides were from Toronto.

Cars designated as an 1988 325ix were fully optioned out as far as what was available. They also all came in 2 door coupes (designated as sedan bye the b piller). They were also all manual transmissions. They did have the metal bumpers, but can be easily swapped out for plastic bumpers.My Garage

All E30s were considered sedans when they were new. Not all 88s were 2 doors and they didnt all get every option. There was 1 2 door automatic produced and a handful of 4 dr autos that went to Canada.
