I kind of like the retro stuff that was offered for them in the 80's. Zender, Kamei and so on. That's why I did my last e30 up like it was.

But for mods like go fast stuff, i'll stick with my domestics.

Swapping my blown transmission allowing me to drive a manual e30 for the first time was pretty memorable.

This may sound odd, but going from that shitty plastic shift knob to a z3 short shift and shift knob is still something i think about every day i get in my car. It feels so much more solid.

either that or the first time i drove my car after an m50 swap and GC coils. but even still there is no better feeling to me than shifting

first s50 swap, and the tire carnage that followed.

Sealed beams -> smilies w/ HIDs. Mostly because my car is otherwise stock :p

Essentially this for me as well. Ellipsoids, a Jetta lip and Rustoleum flat black paint are my only "mods" so far even though i'm stockpiling parts for manual swap and so forth. Only so much I can do to my daily.

Tossing the power steering system. The E30 is so much better without it, you can feel everything through the road.
