Waving

Do you wave / flash lights to other e30's you see on the road? I just encountered my first one while driving mine, and didn't know what the etiquette was. Panic set in!

Waving in my Jeep, VW Type II, and Kharmann Ghia was the norm. My old Beetle, not so much.

Depends if they have any mods and how old. Usually i don't to older guys because they don't know wtf is up.

i just throw up the peace sign. if i pull up to an e30 i'll tell them that i like their car, thats about it.

Depends on mindset at the moment. Bad thing is my communist state has made it illegal to warn of a cop with flash of lights and most think that is what your doing. So the just slow down.

I always try to wave. I had the lady friend with me once and a blue vert waved at us, so of course I gave a friendly wave back. She was astonished that we did that. I guess people in Hyundai accents (her car) don't do the whole wave thing.

I usually wave, but normally the people around here are douches who only own the car because someone died and left it to them and they don't want to take car of it.

I usually wave to any BMW that I know has an enthusiasts driving it. You can tell the difference between people who are cocky and own a BMW and the people that have one because they love BMW and love the car.

When I'm driving one of my e30s, I always wave, flash, or honk to get other e30 drivers attention. If I'm out running or walking and I see an e30, I typically shout out "yeaaaaahhh... e30!!!!" while giving a thumbs up, or stop and talk to the people driving them (if they're in a parking lot, for example).

Then again, I love cool cars (e30 is def. cool). So, when I'm out running, I'll give thumbs up to Ferraris, porsches, R8s, etc.
