    How to remove glue/epoxy?

    Dumbass PO glued/epoxied the battery terminal onto the battery.... Ideas on how to remove?

    Try searching for a product Un-cure or Debonder. These are usually pretty hard to find. You can usually find something like this at a wood working supply store or maybe a auto body supply store. TAP plastics might have it also.

    Carburetor cleaner is also basically pressurized acetone so that will break it down also.

              you should be able to break the bond by rotating it.

              Otherwise, mask off any rubber/plastic/bits and use paint stripper.

              Heat will also weaken it.

                Freeze spray or an air duster upside down. Get it really really cold and tap it a few times, the rotate it, it should crack right off.

                    In all seriousness though. I'd just replace the terminal and battery. It isn't a penis so chopping another inch off will be just fine.

                      That looks like corrosion, not glue. If they glued it, you wouldn't get power to anything in the car.

                      Buy one of these and pull it off.


                      Then clean with a wire brush and apply some dielectric grease to keep it from corroding again.
