The vert wasn't going to be fully tracked or autoxed. I would really like it to be more show quality then race quality. One of my dreams is to get into the racing world and I thought that this could be the start but with the amount of money I would put into the M to get it to any kind of specs would be more than going out and buying a stock car that might be at the same level. I love the vert but sometimes I wish I had a coupe. haha
^It helps from both of you giving your insight and experience views, I appreciate it. I am better off asking before buying something that I am going to pay more than I want to on.
Yup, thats the one. Ill have to swing by and say hello.
The car has 53k and was totaled in 1993 if i am correct. My dad hunted that thing down out of NC and drove it back here. No more then a week later some bitch in a camaro turned from the left turn lane right and took out the front pass corner. My older sister was in the car at the time, they were pretty shaken up but fine, altho the car went OVER the hood of the other car.
It had full coverage, settled with the insurance, bought the car back and sold it to Dan Auchbauch [sp?] who owns a very good body shop here in town off route 3 and 161. Used all that money to buy another henna but with black interior this time [that one used to have tan] and my father still owns the car to this day, as a matter of fact i was out abusing it a few moments ago
sad to see what had happend to that car. it has sat for so long that the motor has got to be shot. however, no more then a year ago it was still at Auchbauch's and was an entire car, with interior, and the correct hood.

I thought you said you wanted it. Ooo...well that guy has all the tools to do the repair. He is a nice guy if you need any repairs to your car and don't want to do it yourself. The guy is getting more into aftermarket things and is going to start doing swaps after trying a couple for himself.
Tom Hatem, I would have checked if it had an exhaust on it yesterday for you. I just went passed Kroger's and I think there was some autoxing going on, Anyone go?
Looks straight...but realllly rusty. That front clip looks pretty damn rusty, not just surface. I would take a very close look, and if it's only surface rust, take it somewhere or grind all the rust off, and paint the shit out of it!
Otherwise, I'd steer clear, unless you can get it for cheeaapp.
Hatem owns the place, i wasnt sure if it was his or an employee. My dads friends with him, ill get him to go tell the guy his sob story, meanwhile ill be under the car with a hacksaw...

Even if its salvaged but runs, you cant get an E30 ///M3 for less than 6K in Cali. And anyone that would want to consider a 'vert for an Auto-X car or even jerk themselves off Auto-Xing it "for shits an giggles" needs to fucking get their shit straight. Sorry, but shit. A 'vert is inherently against anything "performance" in my mind.
^I am glad you feel so strongly about my vert, glad its not yours. Why do you think that about a vert? Yes it's heavier and has no top but I can do almost everything anyone else can in the mod world. So you are saying that because I can't take it to the track verts are shit? Well thank god for the coupes right?
wow. take it easy. S14s are 4 cylinder, no torque having, low HP, tempramental pices of shit. I can take it. ;) If youre gonna get an E30 ///M3, of all cars, its not the car to get in a 'vert. Maybe an E36 or an E46 for the ladies and all that.
I think you are getting confused Mariano. He has a 325iC that he wanted to turn into a track car, but he found this (hardtop) E30 M3 that he wanted to turn in to a track car instead of his cabrio...
Im always confused. Ive had more than 15 Liters of beer in the past 3 days. Im probably not the person to be spewing reason at this point. ;) I confused my threads. I need to get on the ball. 'Verts are made for people who want to be seen/look good. They take away from the structural integrity of the car. Structural integrity is what is needed for handling. Handling = an aspect of performance. Thank you.
