15K for a E36 M3, and no $ for maintence for several years.

    Please.

plus, those would have had to have been M3's kept stock...

Very true. Of the seven BMW's I have owned in the past six years, the '97 M3/4 was the most expensive maintenance-wise. And that includes owning two E30 M3's. And I lost even more money when I sold it just over a year later.

Although I have to say my current E30 M3 is going to take the most expensive prize by the time I am done.

I am not even going to total up the amount of money I have spent on all of them together-I would probably kill myself if I did.

There are few things more expensive than a cheap BMW...

sure it was worth it. by the end of next month pretty much everything mechanical in my car will have been repaired, upgraded or replaced. I probably won't put more than 50,000 miles on it after this point, I don't forsee this car being my daily/only car for more than 3-4 years. after that, who knows - E36 M3s will be pretty cheap by then, maybe I'll pick one up as a daily beater. ;)

It wasn't even close to worth it Fielding. My car is fun but I regret buying so much stupid shit like euro moldings.
