Fancy an opportunity to help a fellow E30 M3 owner?

Many of you are aware of the saga that Yan has experienced - we have no intention of getting in to any “he said, he said” discussion. Leave that to others.
Suffice it to say the best efforts of the community to help Yan did not work out as well as was intended.
Let us not lose sight of all the good things that our tight-knit community has done for deserving folks and let us not lose sight of the fact that Yan, like many others, is serving in our military.

It got us - the Archie’s Fest crew - to thinking about launching a second-round effort to “do a good deed” and raise some more funds to assist Yan in bridging the gap between what he has been able to set aside and what it may cost to have his M3 fixed and back on the road.

We have reached out to Yan to see if he was receptive and, in addition to thanking us and the community over and over, he let us know that any and all help would be greatly appreciated.

These funds go directly to Yan - they don’t stop in anyone else’s “bucket” en route to Yan. Join us in helping a fellow enthusiast.

This is a great idea. Thanks for starting a thread to deal with the situation at hand. I have sent a contribution and hope to see more of the R3V members that want to help out a great guy who has worked at protecting our country do the same.

Just think if each of the 48,657 members just gave 25 cents that would generate over $12K. So if your short on cash just give what you can and it will add up.

Can Yan acknowledge that he has received some of the new funds as proof that this is working?

I just I dont understand why not post to his account directly and go directly to the source rather than an interium source where someone knows the password to this temporary account other than Yan.

Thanks for putting together this "second effort" - my donation is on the way. As Jim (IronmanE30) said so well, a lot of guy's donating what they can, will make this go over the top & show what the E30 enthusiasts can do as a group towards a very worthy cause.

People have multiple email accounts and multiple alias? I am not sure where you came up with this account or whether this is the only account available other than what you interpreted and I dont know you.

Regardless conisidering the nature of previous donations, it just seems prudient if Yan could acknowledge that his is receiving the donations, rather than waiting 3 year to ackowledge not to blame others.
