I just jack it up and set the car down on ramps, or just pull my front bumper off so I can drive up them.

I can do the frame rail with my new(er) jack, as can I do the diff. Jacking on the front subframe is a different proposition though.

No complaints there. My 318i is lower than my 325i and even that car has no issues with that jack.

I can't fit my jack under the front subframe, and I got the low craftsman jack.

I made some ramps out of 2x4's, mitred them @ 45* to make them easy to drive up, and screwed two together. Works like a charm, and I can lift the car by the front subframe without troubles.
Yep, I did that except with 2x6's, and then I tacked a piece on top as a stop to keep from running off. Does the job on my jetta.

2x8 in extended length in a step set up. Heavier. Josh you car is that low that you need aproach ramps.

Thank you, Dave. I have no problems doing the sides or the rear. It's the front, getting under the subframe to do things like change the oil or do front end work, that's the pain the ass.

You cant go at it from the side of the car?

If the handle is too long, dont use it at first. Find a shorter bar to use until you get it high enough to use the jacks handle. Hell... the end of a ratchet works most of the time.

I'll try and get some. No idea wha springs its on, but on the stock tires/rims there's like.. 1 inch maybe, most likely less between tire and fender lip. I hate it.
