Should I sell my car already?

I just recently purchased my first e30 in May and I love it.
Its my daily driver that's dead nuts reliable and I've pretty much got it exactly how I want it now...

    BUT

A good friend of mine just sent me a text saying he will give me a smoking deal on his 135i he is looking to sell. His car is a 2011 so its an n55 (no annoying reliability issues)... Im not sure I can pass up the deal. Lets just say its sub $20k for a 2011 m-sport/cold weather/lighting with 76k miles.

    thoughts?

    my car for reference...

If I were you I'd keep it. Both are great cars though.

First off your car is gorgeous, very well done. Secondly, thats a really hard question.... I've had people offer to trade their e36 M3, e46 ZHP plus $2k on my end, a mint e34 540i 6 speed touring, and I've even had someone offer to trade their Mercedes 190e 2.3 16 valve (The only one I actually considered) but in the end I turned them all down. Theres something about my little e30 that I love and I don't think I could ever sell it. Even though I hope to own a 135i, I don't think I could let go of my e30 for one.

the question I would be asking is if the 135i is so great why is he selling it?

if it's stock, it won't be much faster than your S52 swapped E30 (has more power, but is also heavier). They are very different cars. The newer car will obviously be a bit more comfortable to drive every day, the E30 is a lot more nimble. the 135i will lack LSD, and with 300hp that would drive me insane..

                Keep the E30.

If you must/can, then have both.

The 135i will continue to go down in value.
Your e30 will likely go up.

                  Easy choice.

Keep it.. I think the 1-Series looks like a modern model of the E30, so you can have both and look hella cool.

The only car I would sell my E30 for is a 911, and not just any 911 either

This. There's only one new BMW I can even think of that's not going to be loosing value any time soon, and that the 1M.

truth be told I get bored of cars easily.
typically I get a new daily every year or so.

                            so it will happen eventually.

Drive the 135i at the dealer to get an idea and then decide.

You can always come back to another E30 down the road.

There are plenty of well sorted ones.
