Some of you victims should file a complaint with the "internet crime complaint center (ic3)" to start an investigation. The more victims the better I think you guys done enough investigating, leave it now to the pros..

I know of a "situation" where a scammer refunded money to the victim from a different email address. Many months later, paypal contacted the refunded victim and stated that the funds were from a hacked account and needed to be refunded to the hacked account.

Scammer disappeared and charges were never filed.

Even if every one of you get every penny back, I'd still file charges on the matter of principle. This guy needs to be punished so he won't do this again.

I haven't posted here in a long time. Haven't owned an e30 for about 8 years - ish after selling it to Loonibab. I don't recognize many user names any more except mr325 and a few others.

Saw it linked on FB. I can't stand scammers. We've had it happen in the Z3 section on BF.C couple of times where someone setup a GB, collected money for deposit of said parts, parts caught on fire.

I've dealt with more shady ass sellers buying e30 parts than I ever have before with Subaru folks. Makes me very hesitant to buy high $$ items, esp over the internet.

Its possible that he is selling other parts somewhere else and having those buyers send payments directly to the first victims. Therefore people think they got a refund, but they just getting scammed again.

Kinda like a ponzi scheme.

I'm not fully believing he's learned his lesson at all (a "misunderstanding?" BS), and I'm not so sure about his 'refunds' either - something seems fishy.

I say call the cops and call it a day. Fuck this guy. He doesn't deserve any kindness. And it almost sounds like dad's in on it too.

Has anyone tried sending an invoice to an account with his name on it? I'd be hesitant to accept funds, especially as a payment unless it was from his account.

Ask paypal to open an investigation into the accounts from which funds were received. I've seen scams using Paypal accounts before and this seems to fall into that territory.

Hope everyone gets their money back and this guy learns his lesson with the stiff hand of the law, it's the only way he wont take advantage of others.
