in NJ i dailied my vert until the real snow and salt hit. If the heat works you will be fine. You have to want to drive it. My civic, when it was reliable was nice to have, sometimes, but Id prefer to drive the 30. now in GA i drive the 330 as often as possible, unless its raining

My vert has been my usual daily for a couple of years. Love it.
Heat works great, and it only leaks in a rainstorm if we are sitting still.
2-60 ac works great (2 windows down, 60 mph).
Life is too short to drive crap.

I'm in the same boat about buying another e30. I was looking for a reliable DD but then my friend said she'd sell me her rust free 325i on the cheap. I thought about passing on it, but then I realized life is too short to drive boring cars.Last edited by stonea; 10-26-2015, 04:38 PM.My Garage

I bought it. Here we go!
It needs a lot of stuff, gonna have some good sweat equity in this one haha. engine seems strong, but throws a 1221 code with the stomp test.
I might need to do a legitimate dedicated thread for this one...Last edited by LEANE30; 10-27-2015, 05:33 AM.

I was gonna say, I daily my vert in the winter and it's been fine. Just turn your heater on and wear a sweater. Don't even use your wipers in the snow, just blast the defrost
You may have to adjust the top to get rid of the leak at the top left but they all tend to do that. Park the car uphill when it rains and use raggtopp and you'll be fine.
it's a Kenny Powers quote on wheels
