With less than 30k and the car had trouble with MAF and transmission. I would double check the service record and the car before putting down the cash. My guess is the previous owner beat the hell out of the car.

after we test drove it, i had them bring it inside to the service bay, put it on a lift, and take the plastic panels off the bottom so i could get a good look at it. the transmission is leaking again from the gasket around the plastic pan. it also could use a set of brakes. the rotors were grooved up pretty good. they agreed to fix both.
i applied for a loan through our bank this morning. the rate is really good for a used car. the only thing that is holding me back is that when i called the dealership yesterday to inquire about the car, the salesman told me they had the car for awhile and the price was negotiable. when we got there to look at it, the sales manager said the price was 700.00 less than they have invested in it and was non negotiable.sigpic

Just out of curiosity why are you not buying from the BMW dealership, things like the oil leak and Brakes should be replaced via the factory warranty for free. My guess is something was done to the car that voided the warranty at some point, there should still be a year on that factory warranty bumper to bumper which includes oil changes.
Theres a good selection of 1 series cars fully loaded in that price range available.

I think the 135is came out in 2013. This is an m sport version of the 135i which is aa near as i can tell the same thing.
As to the warranty, there is some ambiguity going on there. They have the car listed as no warranty, the carfax says it still has 20 months and 14k miles left. This is something i am going to figure out before i sign any paperwork.sigpic
