Seems like something DJ could verify?

first thing this morning i figured i had better get out there and get those pics posted. i don't want anyone to call me bakery boy.

about the only option i can see that this car doesn't have is heated seats and heated steering wheel. i really wish it had those but not a deal breaker. most of these that we looked at had dimpled aluminum trim everywhere. i really didn't like the way that looked. i was happy to see this car had wood trim.

i wonder why this thing says twin power turbo on the valve cover? i took a good look under the car and there is only one single good sized turbo on the passenger side...

                      one more for good measure

i am pretty impressed with the n55 engine. i was looking on line at mods. someone sells an 80hp software mod for under 400 bucks. apparently there is an intake pipe that will split easily when extra boost is applied. this can be purchased on the aftermarket for about 230.00. i have to say that 600.00 for that much more hp is a steal. guess what i am planning as my first mod when the warranty expires? i am also going to look at getting a limited slip diff. maybe aftermarket springs and dampers....

nando, when you read this, i am going to say that my suggestion for your ix swap should be an n55.

i am really impressed with the engine's lack of turbo lag and also the wide range of rpm of its torque curve. you can completely screw up the shifts and it always seems to have plenty of power to accelerate nicely.

nah. not interested in the turbo. I want the responsiveness of an N/A motor - the n52 is still quite a bit lighter too.

But the N55 is a nice platform for sure. You will definitely want an LSD. I drive my E90 with DTC enabled most of the time because the traction control sucks ass. Even with DTC, pulling out from a stop sign I'll often get a one tire fire on the inside wheel. Without DTC on, it bitch slaps you up the side of the head and cuts the throttle in half.

These n55 were made to have a Naturally aspirated feel, with smaller gates power will be down low. 300ft lb at 1200rpm is a tire shredder : )

I wonder how you are treating her flyboyx..
