M42 nitrous?

Hey guys, as everyone knows there's little you can do you get more power out of an m42. In an effort to gain what little power I can, I thought of the possibility of a nos setup in my e30
I mainly want to know people's opinions on doing this, as I don't think this is very common. Also, what are some positive and negative things about this? What would I need to mainly look to strengthen in the engine before adding more strain on to the little m42?

I was thinking of boosting the e30 as well but was just unsure of the cost. How much did it total for you?

I'm still all for the idea, just meant if it got a ton of hate it might make me rethink the idea. It seems to be liked though so I'll probably give it the go-ahead soon here

Can it be done? Sure. Should it? IMO not really.Gains are sucky and it will probably blow up.

Yea that would be the reality of it. In my situation I'm looking for a cheaper, more budget option of something to do to an m42. I could just give it a go and see how it works. Worst case I blow it up, just save up for an m50 swap lol. Aside from that I could just not waste the money, and put it towards more useful performance mods.

Use the money to replace worn engine parts and do routine maintenance on the car. That is a much better way to invest your money.

Already in process haha, doing most of the gaskets right now and fixing other leaks. that's why I don't have many funds atm. Just thinking about the future of the car and other neat possibilities.

M42 is not built to endure nitrous duty. I suggest an engine swap.

Yea that's another possibility. Was thinking m50 swap, just unsure of the general price of doing this.

There's plenty you can do for more power. 1psi, 2psi, 3psi, 4psi, 8psi, 15psi, 25psi.

God gave man Oxygen, oil, fire, and metals. Man made the internal combustion engine, then built the turbocharger. God saw the internal combustion engine combined with the turbocharger, and it was good.

Sure why not. Probably will max out at a 55 shot. You'll spend a grand easily to do this.
