There's plenty you can do for more power. 1psi, 2psi, 3psi, 4psi, 8psi, 15psi, 25psi.

Save up and turbo it. Nitrous is great for filling in while turbos spool if you've got a laggy car and are dragging it. Sucks as a general use power adder though. Useless for anything other than drag racing.

That seems to be the general suggestion, I think I'll go ahead and do it at some point. Once I'm on winter break I'm gonna do more work on the engine ,
Start work on strengthening all the weak points in it. I'll start a thread when I do, and keep everyone updated.

Do it. What you learn by doing it will make turbo'ing later that much easier.

Like, getting your air/fuel mix right, doing plumbing, wiring, etc.

And since you will probably slag a few things in the learning stages, you can then build a motor from
the ground up with the express design goal of "Turrrrbbbooooooooooo...."

Do it. But be cautious.

Start small, and make sure you have a wideband that can log everything so you don't run lean. Get a chariot gauge to read everything on your phone. Have fun and make sure you have another car to get to work.

You can put that nitrous setup on any car you own in the future as well, so it's not a lost cause. Craigslist is full of used setups, so it's very possible on a budget

Alright thanks for the input. I've never boosted a car before so it'll be a learning experience. Once I get the funds to do it, I'll just start small then and make sure I do everything correctly first before going big lol

There's no way to estimate costs for things like this. It depends on your abilities and patience waiting for deals.

For example, the consensus for going stage 3 on my car is a "minimum" 4k and up. I managed to go from almost stock (tune, downpipes only), to full stage 3+ (turbos, injectors, clutch, flywheel, exhaust, FMIC, motor mounts, methanol injection setup, fuel pump) for $3k. I took my time, bought used parts as I could find them, and slowly collected until I was ready.

If you are capable and patient, you can do a lot with a little.

^He speaks the truth. I'm in ~$2500ish for my setup and it's a pretty fun car. Not screaming fast, but it's daily-able and reliable. Driven it to Miami a couple times with no issues. Running 10psi with MS1.

Awesome that's what I want to hear, glad it's still reliable after running a small amount of boost. I only ever want to run around 10 psi
