That 02 isn't a S14 technically though, is that how they have it listed?

Seattle area I think. The buyer only had a second to talk before he hopped on a plane.

I am absolutely in love with that M3...I had a Chiaretto red E39 M5 for a while and this color totally reminds me of it.

IDK why, but I dig the dark reds/maroons and the off whites/beiges on older cars. Would love a sahara beige 2002 when I start shopping.

It has a m10 head but it has a s14 crank. Based on the max power output it has it seems to be a fairly mild build i wonder if it feels pretty torquey but cant help but wonder why they wouldn't have built it to make more power if they were gonna go through the trouble of sourcing an S14 crank and rods then custom pistons plus a megasquirt.

Its a clean car for sure, i think it will be crazy if it sells for more then the m3 but we shall see its got 6 days left and its already over 20k.

the last BAT sale price for this a week ago was $11,400. With 5% buyer premium that is just under $12k. A CL asking price of $12.5 is not much of a flip return. Possibly the 2nd auction winner also flaked and this is the original seller's CL post... Or the buyer had instantaneous remorse

^ You're right, the original owner is in San Diego, IIRC. That would mean 2 buyers flaked on BAT.

There is a penalty for flaking on BAT correct?

To much to list. Professionally built. You will find another like this. Over $25k to develop.

I think the winning bidder pays BAT a non-refundable 5% buyer premium fee charged to their credit card. $570 in the case of the last auction for this car. I think the seller pays a max of $250 to BAT to list the car.

There's something else to the story on that car. Two winning bidders flaking?

Either there is something going on with the car itself, or the owner is bidding up the price with a fake account.

Once is an oddity, twice is a pattern.
