I just can't see it going crazy in the last few minutes.

It looks like something I pick up at auction for $300.

EDIT: Yep. That's about where I thought it would end..

That was mine, didn't make reserve in the auction ($50k) but sold immediately after it finished. It was a bad time to have an auction for a car like this close, Tuesday before the holiday.

I knew it was yours, just sad that it was sold right after you finished it

Maybe it was the fact that a BMW tech owned the car and rebuilt the engine. People tend to trust them.

Yeah. There's some weird ness on that one. The winning bidder had been an active bidder and looks like he's got some money (realtor in so cal.) Maybe the more he researched it, the more he realized it wasn't what was being sold.

Or maybe he was a giant flake, just trying to look like he had money.

Either way, it'll be interesting to see where it ends up.

Though, I actually like the black M3 on eBay sitting at 30k myself..

Non-original fender and hood will ding the possible benjamins on that red M3.

I read through some of the comments, people are just dumb. Many buyers of "vintage" BMW's these days are just in it to collect/keep garage queens, performance & function be damned.

Toyota 2000GT just went up for sale. It is starting at $100k- thoughts on what it will reach?

that thing is pretty phenomenal but it doesnt do much for me

E30 M3 only missed its previous mark by $250 from its last auction so not a huge loss, assuming the buyer doesnt flake again

Yah, I never got all the hype for the Toyota 2000gt. I get is history, but it just doesn't strike a chord with me.

But then again, a lot of people don't get the e30 tax..
