That's what the best E30 is for many people. The M3 is not everybody's favorite.

Let's be slightly more realistic, the best E30 for you is whatever E30 you can afford, and that you will enjoy driving as much as you desire.

Too bad that MT2 car is destined to almost never be driven in future.

A body kit car? smh... Many feel the Mtech II kit is the best looking (for late models) and this is a factory euro. Surely you understand that if you could even source the parts that building a copy to same degree of OE fitment and quality would be difficult and expensive, not to mention all the other euro bits and it being a slicktop. Sport seats, dash, interior, etc all mint, original 13k engine and 5 speed... This car ticks virtually every box as the perfect e30, doubt you could build one as nice for less than $50k.
