That ix looks like a real project car, probably means some nut will snap it up for 20k.

I was checking out this one earlier this week. Pretty rough, but kind of refreshing to see a car that isn't showroom fresh.

Agreed. I want to see how it goes as I am up in the same mileage but not really stock with a few upgrades and rebuilt projects.

Hammered for $10,500, which surprised me given the lack of a jack test and the car's other apparent needs

That MT2 looks like it has some original fuel lines, sheesh.

Looks like it's a 10-day BaT premium auction as well. Already up to $35K. I had guessed $50K would be the number early on, but at this rate it may surpass that.

Yeah. At least the new owner can make a profit by slightly over insuring it and just driving it around until it burns.

Does that MT2 have the 2.7 like the South African version? Trying to figure out how sports seats and a little extra urethane stuck to bottom of the car can add that much value.

The ad says it’s the same 2.5-Liter Inline-Six they all came with. And (apparently) it’s going to be worth whatever someone’s willing to pay for it...

I can see the SA versions with aluminum body panels and a 2.7 bringing big $ but not a body kit car. I'm not bashing the car, just surprised by that big of a number with a week to go.
