Has anybody been in contact with Luke (stereoinstaller1) recentley?
We're done. I'm closing the Web based aspect of my business
If any of you want to know the cure, try doing as I asked when I didn't have the ability to communicate (you people seem to think it was an option) text or call.

You've got to be kidding me. You're leaving us all hung out to dry here unless we text or call you??

Which part of me texting you multiple times asking politely for an update to which I never got replies did I not do right?

OK, lets get some stuff straight.
First, there is NOTHING wrong with the original design. It works perfectly.
This modification is because YOU wanted it.
Second, we are closing, so now, you get nothing.
You get what you get.
Best of luck.
Luke
(It seems eventually he made a fix for the design error, but wanted to charge extra for it)
That woman who has been attempting to destroy my business has succeeded, so I plan to close down permanently in a few weeks here, as soon as we finish up a couple of projects.
It's a real shame too, we were just finally about to get back on our feet after losing our last shop and having to relocate yet again.
Right now I have 1 of these on the shelf, and will still be building 2 of the beastly VM series, so if you would like to get one of these beauties in your car, get in touch like immediately.
These are not on the site, which will be taken down in the next few days. Seriously, this sucks, this is 10 years of hard work down the drain down to one womans illegal actions and impatience.
We will also be dong one run only of the E38/E39 PCN V2, so if thats something you've been thinking about, get in touch. Right now we have 4 with deposits, we will only be building what has been ordered.
No, we won't "rip you off", but due to cash flow issues, things may take longer than expected, please be patient.
You have this 100% wrong - it's as though you've fabricated this entire course of events. In December 2015, the GAS website did have e46 coupe folding seats as an option. I chose this option. I even emailed Luke twice to confirm, because I knew the difference. Before my husband passed (he, too, was an installer for many years), we discussed this at length.
At the time, Luke said nothing of his not having the schematics for this box and even suggested he had one left in stock (after two weeks, he did let us know a new one needed to be made). Luke only brought up not having the right dimensions/jig (and how he lost them) after we called him to discuss the box not fitting the ski pass.
The entire rest of your thread hinges on this false notion (your made-up account of events), and therefore, I believe you should rethink your thoughts on this, please. (I can provide the email proof).
The beginning of my post was "Let me get this straight", as in I want to know that if the facts that I have read posted on here are all the facts, so I can understand the situation. And after that I posted what I had read. I was not aware that there were coupe Luke boxes for sale when you ordered a box. But when this thread started I looked on GAS website and there were no E46 coupe Luke boxes available for sale. So other than this what else is wrong?
Let me get this straight. You order an E46 coupe Luke box off GAS. Luke realizes after your order that none of his inventory or what he has available will work for you. So he tries to make you one from memory because a while ago Luke lost all the dimensions for a coupe. And he doesn't tell you this until after the box is wrong. The box he makes fits but is not absolutely perfect. And Luke agrees that it is not right and he will send you another one free of charge after he gets a test car because obviously the dimensions he is remembering are not perfect and he doesn't want to sell you another imperfect box. And it is cheaper for him to send you another product rather than the cash.
Months have passed and Luke has yet to find a test vehicle. And you don't want to wait anymore. When Luke's phone was disconnected you reached out to R3v to find him because you don't want to lose the money you have invested. Luke is in a bad financial situation so he can't afford to send your money back right now. And you don't want to have to pay the return shipping. Now Luke and GAS are getting a bad reputation from this thread.
I understand and agree that you shouldn't have to pay to have it shipped back especially if the box is worthless to both you and GAS. Luke should have not tried to make you a box from memory.
I see two resolutions for this situation. One you use the not perfect Luke box and wait for Luke to get a test vehicle so he can gather the correct dimensions to make you one. As is when you order something completely custom it sometimes takes awhile. And the second option is that Luke sends you a free Luke box of something that is in his inventory that is not a custom one off. But something he has the dimensions for and he knows is perfect. Something like an E30 Luke box.
Then you take that box and you sell it and recuperate the money you have invested in the custom E46 coupe box. And you still get to keep the non perfect E46 coupe box and run that. And furthermore if you want a perfect E46 coupe box you watch the GAS website and wait until Luke gets another test car and gets the right dimensions. Then you can order another one.
I feel bad for you both. Luke tried to help you out and make you something he didn't have any more, for your boy to help him finish his audio build he and his father had started. My condolences by the way. And it didn't turn out the way either of you wanted.
He's blaming her for ruining his business and shutting down? Are you fucking kidding me?
That, on top of a number of other things he has said is making me think he isn't completely stable.
After 6 months, I simply wanted a correct box or a refund, so I could commission a box locally instead. I would be happy with either. At month 4, Luke cut off all communication, because he said he didn't want to "lie to me."
I find his entire reaction to me irrational. A correct product or refund is pretty standard fair, as is answering a phone or email from a customer. I wasn't asking for too much.
I use their speakers in my e36, OMG the quality is amazing
I have them in my E38 I agree. I asked them about the E30 and I personally dont think they think there is a good market there right now due to their stuff being fairly expensive and the owners now willing to pay that kind of money. Maybe as many more of these cars get restored the will change their mind.
1 lady ruined a business I spent 10yrs building, JUST 1, so I went on a tyrant and said F-U to all those that paid for stuff and never got it. Oh yea send me money for the "last of my stock" if you want my great product. Dont mind all this static about upset customers, I wont do that to you.
Im gonna say this publicly: If you have something I built with my own two hands in your car and you are on her side, take it out and bash it with a sledge, I don't want you enjoying my hard work, you don't deserve it.
And no, you won't get a refund.
Luke
