I wonder how a roller would do on metallic colors, or if Rustoleum even has metallics!

In that guys article, he uses a foam brush to do crevasses. He is emphatic that the paint spreads itself. I think I am gonna try it on the wreck sitting in my shop as we speak. I will post pics if I do.

Just found the paint I need.

Oil Based Rustoleum Oil-Based Enamel and I'm pretty sure I'm going to thin it out and spray it on. The more I think about rolling it on the more I wonder how well it will look in the cracks and door jams.

Right now it's a toss up between blue, glass black, and silver.

Going to be doing some more touch up body work while I wait for Bimmerfanatik to refund my $200 so I can pay Jeff for the Zender skirts.

Bumpers will be going on this weekend I hope as well thanks to Funkmaster (Joe).

Man, it is a shame you aren't closer...there is a wrercked '87 325is sittin in my shop right now...shell is gonna be towed away as scrap!

Having sprayed several cars in my life, I detest the idea of doing it again.

See, it goes like this...my Dad was a bodyman. From 1937 until 1987...50 years of that crap. I am the youngest of his 10 sons (yes, no daughters) so I basically grew up in a body shop.

            I HATE bodywork. I don't wanna paint NOTHING...but I gotta.

If roller is 90% as good as I can spray, roller it is.

            Just my 2 cents.

Why is spraying so bad?? I would think that rolling would be harder / take more time?

Actually Josh, after talking to Charlie he said that rolling would be easier.

He also said that since I plan to spray the car that he can get me a good deal on some urethane one stage paint that will probably turn out better than the Rustoleum.

Depending on the price he is able to get me I might not get to try Rustoleum.

And I agree, Gloss black shows off every little flaw in the body. This is why I am leaning more toward silver w/ gunmetal emblems or Estoril Blue.

Man, the blue is really growing on me, with the black interior it would be sweeeeeeet.

You should see if charlie could fix that M3 wing, or give it to me.
