    1984 318i vs 1984 325e ?

Sup guys so lately i've been looking for another e30 to build and i've come across 2 very clean cars both are '84 and completely bone stock. I dont have much input on the 318 or the 325e i'm only familiar with 325i's since i own one :) but I wanted to get your guys opinion on which car to move towards to.. Like I said both cars are completely stock but the 318i does have a auto and the 325e has a 5 speed. The 318i also only has 97k miles vs the 325e having 103k. i'm still unsure if i want this build to be towards being stanced or having speed yet

If you are going stance - the 318 (no one will care if you destroy it..)

If you are going for speed - the 325e - then just do the i top end swap for lulz.

Definitely would make the 325e a stroker with a loud exhaust that'll wake up my entire neighborhood early on the weekends lmao

Have you driven the 318i? The M10 automatics are incredibly slow, and not particularly good on fuel (a manual is not so bad - and the engines are very tough).

325e manual would be the best option out of those two.

What are your goals? Neither car is the pinnacle from an e30 point of view. Dont be a retard by doing something to the car that will annoy other motorists. Yes stance is ghey unless you are like 18. Then it still is but you just arent aware of it yet. Somehow, it kind of sounds like you are still in your teens?

Anyway, both are slow. Both have the old style electronics and wiring harness. I suggest you buy the one that is in the best shape(paint, interior...etc) dont worry about suspension too much as all that should be replaced anyway.

The guy wants $5500 for that 325e.

                          Buy something else.

And being '84, they were early in their rust proofing ideas for the e30. So good chance they have hidden secrets underneath..

the 318 has different suspension etc and would be more expensive if you wanted to lower it or do anything cool. If you want to stock dd it then by all means get the 318. A 318 turbo is way cool.

Just wait and get a 325i and have the support of pretty much every e30 ever made
