How many BMWs are in your E30?

I love how many parts on our cars can be "borrowed" from other chassis, and I've taken advantage of it on a number of (mostly minor) occasions.

    E30 - Well, the car.
    E28 - Steering wheel
E36 - Steering rack, fuel injectors
    E60 - Shift lever
    E82 - Floormats

How many models make up your car?

It's mostly E30. It has a Z3 (E36) rack, E46 shift knob and tranny mounts, and E90 drop hats.

Oh goodness, almost nothing remains of my e30 other the the body.

Fun fact....the clutch pedal pad on your e30(the rubber part)....is the same part from a 1967 2002/1600/1500 vintage.....all the way to this day 2016. Same damn part.

Not so much, the p/n may be the same, but the part is decidedly different. I discovered this when I last received an order from ECS.

              2002:

              E30:

              I apparently lied when I voted, I forgot I have an E36 318ti differential, but that's all, I swear!

Shortly I suppose I'll have an E36 rack as well. So much for being a pure breed.

              Great thread idea!

                My last e30 was a bit of a frankencar.. e30, e34, e36, e46, e28, z3..

Current e30.. just an e36 radio and e46 shift knob for now

                  My E30- The car
Another E30- Trunk and hood (acquired over a year apart from two different people, from the same car....weird)
                  E36- Engine, some exhaust
E34- Oil pan, few engine bits, floor mats

Sort of on topic but I've had the same Momo shift knob since I was 17. It was in my old VW passat, SVT Focus, a Jeep and now my E30. Closing in on 31, it's got some sentimental value at this point.

Klaus is just one, though I cast my vote for Lola - she's definitely over 5.

Interesting! Well, then it's the same from e21's and up I believe, no? That's interesting that they designed the part once, and said "Ya, we really can't make it any better" - and I kind of agree.
