I liked last week's episode. Reminded me of old TG quite a bit.

I don't mind the American, they should just work harder on his lines if he's going to speak. There's room to have some fun with him if they try.

I liked the most recent episode but the one before it was heavily "meh"

That was from a Top Gear Live "episode". Had nothing to do with The Grand Tour. It was actually pretty old, but popped up again just before TGT aired, so everyone thought it was a preview of what was to come.

    There's more episodes?!?!
I thought the Namibia episodes were the end of the season

I guess that's how they used to do it on TG.

Haha good, I should have picked up on that honestly.

As has been mentioned previously, he was born in California.

Brian Johnson didn't even come in to the studio.

It's odd that they'd go to all the trouble to book the celebrity and have them on location so they could be in the live shot but never actually have them do anything other than get "killed," so the F you theory makes sense.

I'm get the feeling that it's an legal thing. That if they copied the show 100% segment-for-segment, there would be legal issues. (there all sorts of laws about things like that - and I don't claim to know anything about them - other then a tiny bit) - It's kinda how you can copy a song, but have to change every 7th note (or something like that)

So the whole "brain crash" thing is an F-U to the lawyers and the BBC in general.
