I just want it to work out, be entertaining and easily available to watch. Personality wise I find Jason Camissa interesting. I accept his statistic nerd boy approach, and his humor is in that. He has a good thing going on Hagerty. I like to listen to several podcasts and they different viewpoint of each one. The smoking tire, the carmudgeon show and Chris Harris and friends all offer different versions of car content. In the end its entertainment. Oh, if I wanted to pick on someone who I don't Mesh with based on content its Jasons podcast partner, Derick Tam -Scott. That guy made the BMWs are for people who can't Afford a Porsche comment a few years ago and All of a sudden, I noticed he mumbles, changes his voice tone like a wussy and has that arrogance that money is the only thing that matters when it comes to a qualified opinion on cars. I must be a dick head because that comment rubbed me wrong, but I do own BMW's because they are easier on the wallet and just as fun to drive.

What the currently MR2-less-2man said. That's a good one. And the one I linked I think is decent, road trip video.

I can see that take, but that could just make him the May of the group... a very different kind of May, but still a May who maybe isn't as funny.
I think he can be funny, but again - this is where personal opinions on hosts come in.
He's maybe too much of a car journalist to dive into commentary... while he has his own opinions, he does a good job of being objective and rating cars without inserting opinions.
He is very focused on either opinion or car review, if the two were combined into one segment, unsure if that fits his brand, which I can respect.
I think he could do it, but perhaps he wouldn't even want to do that, again with what he has with Hagerty and other projects.

TH guys I like, but they are obviously much much younger and not Clarkson/Hammond/May, but they have their own chemistry that again gives me the hopes for this to actually be worth watching.

I've enjoyed some of the TH videos, especially the ones where they compare the old to the new model versions. I hope the GT format and budgets don't ruin the dynamic. I've thought that the TG/GT kind of lost it's way (and i lost interest) with them always trying to outdo themselves which made the segments less interesting and the interactions more forced. I think part of it is that I've also lost interest in the last few generations of cars. The car review youtube channels that I occasionally watch seem to dislike them too, but at the end of the videos they give a glowing review of every car reviewed. I guess that is to be expected if they want to keep getting cars to review.

    ^^^ This.

This has the ability to be the best reboot possible honestly. Nothing will top May, Hammond, and Clarkson. BUT, again... all of the Top Gear attempts after the them have been sad attempts. I really like Chris Harris, but even though some variations had some entertaining bits, it just wasn't comparable. The Top Gear America/USA were also missing the secret sauce. I know nothing of the train dude, but the Throttle House guys I think have the best similar esque format to OG Top Gear. They actually mix in decent humor and are true car guys. I kinda wish Jason Cammisa was their third - then they'd have an American, a British dude who lives in Canada, and a Canadian. Plus, he's probably the best car reviewer but I'm sure Hagerty has some non-compete stuff going on with his contract. With the train dude, they are going for a much younger audience and he brings the youngest generation to the show for sure.

And the TH road trips are pretty decent:

I think the thing I like the most about the TH guys is that their humor/convos seem effortless like Clarkson, Hamster and May. Francis seems like he'll be the "May" of the group (read:nerd). Mr. Wilman is still involved too. I'm optimistic for this show... way more than whatever the hell the original Top Gear reboot after C, H & M departed was... what a disaster that was lol.

Francis did a video with Chris Harris a bit ago, and that gives me more hope too: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M5yCHAp9VzY

The OGs were too good, so it's hard to watch anything with that format without them :c

I found a channel on Samsung TV that only plays TG episodes in random.

I miss the old TG days, the grand tour just didn't hit the same.

I watched the first season of Clarkson's farm, didn't realize it was still going. Guess I'll have to give it a watch.

Oh yeah Clarkson's farm is awesome. I love TG and the GT but Clarkson's farm wins easy.

    Yes, growing a bit even.

I enjoyed a couple of them, but agree with the points above. The end of one of the specials that had them go into a village where everything was "American" but Chinese, that was a clever plot twist.

Frankly, I've enjoyed Clarkson's Farm more than the Grand Tour.
