Ping Dave/328ijunkie. I'm sure he'd be able to tell you definitively what the issue and the solution is, and I'm pretty sure he can take care of it.

Pretty sure that won't clear the codes.Comment

On the E46, you can recode the dash, ews, abs etc. with several different programs,
factory or aftermarket. And yes, abs cares for traction control reasons.
If you are properly coded, an e46 manual does not want to see an a/t computer.
I dunno about e36, mine are obd1.
fwiw,
tnow, sometimes I just mess with people. It's more entertaining that way. george gravesComment

I was going to say getting the ECU coded would work it out, but maybe it's the cluster reporting it?? I haven't played with the can bus other then a prototype I'm working on, and now this has me all mixed up as well.
Who's r3v's go to guy for reporgramming modules? ETA / Mark D? I know he knows more then I do on the topic.Originally posted by Matt-Bhey does anyone know anyone who gets upset and makes electronics?Comment

Since the car already had a manual s52 dme, maybe I can unplug the automatic transmission computer so the manual s52 dme won't be bother by it and the codes no longer exist. Its worth a try but I'm still waiting to hear from 328ijunkie and the people on m3forum.On the E46, you can recode the dash, ews, abs etc. with several different programs,
