      Depends on the motor.

        Also, they are nuts that are removed. There are studs in the top of the head that the valve cover slides over.

            Nuts but not bolts. m10 has 1 bolt holding it on and 6 nuts. where as the 6 cylinder require 4 bolts removed and 8 nuts removed to be able to pull the valve cover off.

              Since no one has asked a question..

              What is the correct ignition advance or retard (in degrees) at BTDC for 3000 rpm (since i've been doing this today) on the Euro M20 B20. (L-Jet with vacuum advance/retard)

              And ONE last question, can any explain to me how the VIN numbers work for South African built BMWs and why my wheel arches are different.

              And in response to another question, has my M20 B20 been modified to allow unleaded fuel?

                In "Happy Gilmore" Adam sandler style regarding the green jacket:

                "TDC..... BDC, who gives a shit!"

                That said, anyone got an answer?

                    If we're out of E30 questions lets do some general BMW stuff.

                    Fill in the blanks:

                    E52=?
                    original 6 series=E??
                    N62=?
                    E85=?
                    The next 3 series (2006) will be E??

                    Seperate question, but if you get it then thumbs up-
                    R50=?
