    I got 2 e30’s last year.

The ‘87 - timing belt kit, water pump, oil filter/plug, plug wires, plugs, cap and rotor, oem cat back.

The ‘89 - timing belt kit, water pump, cap and rotor, oil filter/plug.

Many many things since then but they’re both running beautifully and I think my favorite things so far are new coolant hoses (complete) and the MTech 1 for my ‘89.

My son just got his license and the ‘87 is his so he ordered stuff on his own recently. He just deleted the power steering and got new intake manifold gaskets/oil tube rings and replaced all his coolant hoses. He’s having fun with it and so am I.
    My son has the 1987 325e, 2 door, 5speed
    I daily the 1989 325i, 4 door, 5speed

Technically, a Goetze head gasket for the first E30 I purchased, which I still have 9 or so years later. Then the rest of the stuff for the head gasket replacement.

It was a lot to spend right out of school, I remember that much.

I think it was a shifter and knob. Mine was badly worn out, and the knob came off shifting into second while driving the car home.

A 385mm MT2 wheel a couple weeks after I bought it. Barely had enough money to get to and from Seattle to pick it up. Oh, to be a young, broke high school kid again.

                Thanks again, Robb.

Fortunately, I haven't used it yet.

This was like 15 years ago now but I think it was a new front driveshaft - the PO replaced it but they put it in dry (the splines need lube). It took me like 5 years to figure out the problem and I havent stripped one since.

i bought mine in 2001. i remember getting the timing belt done. drove it as a daily utilitarian. maintained all systems though. john at precision motor works was awesome!
then i went to the 2015 picnic for the first time. lol my car was the rattiest there! i won the paint job!! so... 8k later. all new trim, headlights, windshield, front end suspension, 4th timing belt, valve job, muffler and pipes, brakes, bushings everywhere... and more.
just hit 264k on the clock.

IIRC my first order was inspection II stuff: air/fuel filters, cap/rotor/plugs, and redline trans/diff fluid. Followed a few days later by springs/struts/rearshocks.
