I think I made alot of progress today lol.

I replaced the injectors with 6 remanufactured flow matched m20b25 ones, so those are choice. I swapped in a different 3.0 FPR, I replaced the gasket on the manifold pressure fitting plate, and I installed the new injectors with all new orings.

Idle is still lumpy, but I guess I should expect that with the 274/274 11.5mm cam and the LTW flywheel.

When I grab the TB or prod the accelerator standing still it revs up alot faster and worlds smoother now. When it is revving up it is nice and smooth, and the shake the car apart lumpyness at idle goes away :) The exhuast doesnt smell like I am running super rich anymore. Only problem I see right now is if I give the throttle a quick prod, and prod it again as it is coming back down towards idle it wants to stall out on me bad. It drops down to 600ish rpms and the battery light comes on, but it recovers.

I didn't get a chance to drive it today with the new stuff in, maybe tomorrow.

When I took the old injectors out (over 24hrs after the last time it was running) 3 of the injector caps were bone dry, and the other 3 wet soaked with fuel. Leaking injectors... likely the reason why i was running go grossly rich.

How long have you ran the car for? Is the ECU still readapting? My car does the same thing after I disconnect the battery.

It was idling for about 10 minutes.

What "same thing" are you talking about TJ lol.

Yeah, run crappy in general. The idle isn't good. But the main thing is that it wants to stall out. Even my freaking automatic has stalled after resetting the ECU. Give a little more time... it might fix itself. I don't know if we have the same Mototronic version though (I have 1.3) so maybe they aren't related.

                        I have a 153 (1.1) ECU in it now but I can easily get a 173 (1.3) from a friend to use.

I have had the same problem with a choppy idle/stalling. It happens to me after I store my car for more than a few weeks. The battery usually needs to be taken out and recharged before I can start it again. When I do start it, the idle is choppy and it stalls easily for a while. Like TJ said, though, it usually fixes itself after a few days. I always figured it was because the gas in the car had deteriorated, but the ECU being reset makes more sense. I have a 173 ECU, btw.
