some OG e30 guys are peacin out, and a lot of other guys who seem relatively new to the e30 scene are also leaving - why's everybody loosing the love?

Haha. I could have easily had an e36. Instead I'm now an e30 owner. :)

Sometimes the appeal of a certain thing comes and goes.

i was going to get rid of my e30 for a 84-87 Monte Carlo SS, i wanted to put a 350 or bigger motor in one with a 6 speed. But the e30 was too cool of a car to part with.

Same here. Besides, mine has a totalled title (body damage from old accident, no frame damage, Ted knows), so I'd never get even what I paid for it out of it, much less how much I've put into it. I'll never sell this thing, I love it too much. I've lusted after other cars, but if I ever do get something different, I'll still keep the E30.

Besides, if all goes well today, my car will be getting a substantial hp upgrade this winter.

I've had 4 e30s and a nissan... I could see me moving on to a newer car one day soon, but the love for e30s will always remain.

I owned a '93 325i from '95 to '98 and while the E36 handled great I was never impressed with the overall build quality, especially when compared to my former '87 iS.

I am still around. Even after replacing my old bronzit. The new cars don't do it for me. So boring and plain, with terrible build quality.

Same here. I have put a lot of time and effort in to it. If I am going to get rid of it I would buy a new car. The dealership might give me $1000 for it, I would rather work for another couple weeks to make that $1000 up and have 2. Not worth it.
