One of my favorite things to do is look for ricers, down shift when next to them, floor it and press in the clutch(rev up) and watch them take off lolOriginally posted by NavyE30I saw Vlad was posting and got excited. Then I saw there weren't any boobs and was sad.Comment

I've been driving a friend's '97 Eclipse GST Spyder for the past couple weeks, to park it at my store with a sign on it in hopes of selling it for him. It's got a blow-off valve, intake, etc., Dodge Viper blue paint and black Rota Slipstreams on it.
My GOD, it is IMPOSSIBLE to drive this car around town without people wanting to race me. I can't pull up to a stop light and not get a revving engine or a "REV IT UP SO WE CAN HEAR THE BLOWOFF VALVE MAYNE!"
God I hope this thing is gone soon. :(

Are we still in the mind set that we have to care about what other people drive and call them ricers? Its very easy to laugh at what they do and have fun with it, instead of bitching about it constantly. Its not the machine, its the 2-inch dick behind the wheel. And theres plenty of them driving BMW's, AND Corvette's, and Aston Martins, and Ferraris, and your grandmother's buick.
Oh well. once you've driven a bit of everything you just don't care what other people's choice in automobiles is, instead, you learn to be happy that its not your own.

what is this dogshitSo, I go down to the local Advance a few weeks ago to browse, kill time etc. As I pull in, I see one of those Lancer things with the ridiculous wing and a big Mitsubishi sticker planted diagonal across the hood. I roll my eyes, conduct my business and go home. Today, I went back to Advance (in the 325) for a fuel filter. As I'm pulling in I see the same Lancer sitting out front so one of the employees drives it. I'm picking my parking spot and there's an Advance truck outside and the driver and a young employee are outside conversing. The young employee sees me pull up and starts staring at me...like I fucked his mother, and for all I know I may have I can't be held responsible for my actions when I'm been drinking. I get out and out of the corner of my eye I see him look from me to my car to his ricer and back. I go get my part and come back out and he starts looking at me again, following me to the car and as I drive off. It could be the paranoia in me but I just wanted to go over and armbar the little fuck. I'm like
Why are you staring at me? Y'all got any ricer anecdotes? Does this come with the territory of BMW ownership? Discuss.

is it dogshit? Not that I care, of course.

I havent got enough horsepower yet in the jps to blow the doors off anyone off the line, however the car is setup really well and it is just freaking amazing in the twisty stuff. I live in a mountain range so im coming up the road fairly often, i usually just take my time enjoying the scenery and the exhaust note until some moron decides to ride my bumper.
I had a guy in a riced up AE110 corolla (enough glass to build a boat, chrome wheels, fart can exhaust, bonnet vents) give me the treatment coming home last saturday night, started to open it up a little and take the corners through the apex rather than follow the lines. He got a little nervous when taking blind corners (the corners you can cut through, lights are visible before entering the corner, so you can see if its safe) so id back off the throttle a little and let him catch back up.
He was just hanging in there until i got to a blind right hairpin, i took it tight to the inside kerb to make it round still doing about 80 km/h, he didnt, went in too fast, too wide and all i heard was a giant lock up of brakes that indicated he had shot off the road. :nice:Just a little project im working on

I dont drive my e30 too much, Im usually in my 01 cherokee that has all the bolt ons and some other random things (6-speed manual from a 05 rubicon), nothin too special cuz its a daily driver...Every ricer that pulls up next to me gets stomped on by a 4WD Jeep....ooh its fun!sigpicComment

Well, you could start off by making an introduction thread, maybe a pic or three of your car, maybe tell us a bit about yourself.
Just a suggestion there, Champ!Comment
