I usually get people really ticked off when i beat them in a jeep grand cherokee. it doesnt weigh much and has a 5.9L v8= quick, and with AWD it smokes so much out there on a dry street launch. So i probably get even more pissed off looks than you guys do!

Nothing like this happens to me, maybe I just don't notice - and I certainly don't care.

I heard that some of the jeep grand cherokee's with a 360 had a bigger cam then the dakota R/T's. Do you know anything about this?

About a year ago I was heading out I-20 to look at some land in E. Georgia. I had my dad in the car. Along comes this POS Prelude with a bigger wing on it that the airliner I fly. Well this guy starts leeching off my and my V1. I was in the P-car at the time so when a gap came up in traffic I ran it up to 160. As I was accelerating I remember looking back and seeing that enormous aluminum appendage seperate from his trunklid and go AIRBORN! He must have had it attached with sheet metal screws. I'm just glad nobody was close behind him.
He probably gained 15mph on his top end when it cam off though!

the Jeeps are actually several hundred pounds lighter than most of the R/T's especially if they are a club cab, and they came with a better computer from the factory than the R/T's. The jeep was lucky to have a 91 octane tune with more timing, it also came with an electric fan, which puts some more power to the wheels from not spinning a clutch fan like the dakota's. They both came with the exact same cam/heads/etc

Haha..good stories. My uncle took a test drive in a Ford GT, he was thinking about purchasing one and money talks and gets you test drives. Well he came and took me for a ride. We stop at a red light and a bright orange "pimped" out accord started revving its engine wanting to race. Haha, the funny thing was is that he was serious and was calling us waffleswaffleswaffleswaffleswaffles's because we wouldn't go against his sweet 4 door...was he fucking stupid...and listening to the car, it was an automatic

Mine was a 99, so it was "only" putting out 345 HP at the crank in stock form.

Intake, chip and exhaust along with a few other bolt-ons probably brought me up to around 375

But yeah, 345 HP in a 3200 lb car has a decent weight to HP ratio.

I remember having a discussion with a ricer once, and he was telling me how Corvettes are junk, and how he should know as he used to own one.

I asked him if it was an automatic or a 5-speed, and he predictably said "5-speed"

When I reminded him that no Corvette ever left the factory with a 5-speed trans, he started stuttering and stammering and mumbling some BS

I say to each his own, but a majority of these guys drive and act like complete idiots.

No, I would have just kept asking him more Vette related questions until he hung himself with his own words, as I've owned several Corvettes and know a little bit about them.

Would have been better if he claimed it was an 83...
