Fuck you people who rock no insurance like it's cool btw.
I though that this thread was going to discuss missing high beams, cats and CAIs. Come to find out you fuckers are to cheap and lazy to drive a car properly?????? Instead of spending your money on stroker kits and computers, how bout making your cars legal so I don't have to worry whether or not the next person who hits me is going to pay out. You do realize the reason insurance is expensive is b/c of you people!Yours truly,
Rich

Oh and in Ca they enforce all kinds of wacky shit, the closer you get to a major city, the more chance you will get busted "riding dirty". Ca just sent me a notice they were suspending my tag due to non-payment. Problem is I alread changed to a Ga tag!Yours truly,

Ahh... tag swapping.. I forgot about that. I have done some pretty stupid things but I have not had the balls to drive with good tags on an unregistered car. I had always been afraid that someone would run into me in a major collision and then the cop would check the vin numbers against the registration.
Some states give you the option of actively "suspending" your registration so that you can drop the insurance without penalty but still keep your tags and registration intact. (provided that you agree not to drive the car) And then in Virginia, they permit you to pay non-insured fee of $400 or something like that a year which gives you permission to drive without an insurance policy.
Being that I have had a clean driving record for the better part of 20 years without any accidents that were my fault, I really do not feel any sense of guilt when I allow my insurance policy to lapse. Personally I dislike the fact that I have to pay for the mishaps and carelessness of others. If there is an increase of people in my age group with my type of car having accidents on a regular basis, then I have to pay a higher rate regardless of my record.

I don't get why everyone is freakin out about not being able to afford insurance even when the car is parked to keep the tags and such like in NY and such. We pay $7 a month to keep our hotrods insured during the winter so that while their in the garage if anything happens to them we're covered. Solves a huge problem just by forkin out $7 a month while it's parked.

Now when you say "hotrods" thats with antique insurance? I had full coverage on all of my older cars 1970 and back all year round. My 70 AMC AMX was only $48.00 every 6 months.
