No front license plate...no place to put one right now either. No rear license plate...no engine...

    Other than that, I'm fine.

not really though im just a dumbass that doesn't know how to pay parking tickets on time.$1,350+2 hours later i had my baby back on the road.
It was nice of them to protect your wheel with that piece of paper prior to being slapped with the big wheel cuff. In the District of Columbia they will boot your wheel without giving a second thought to any damage caused by the device.

        No front plate
No emissions aside from a cat
Too low (if this is even a law lol)
Tags on my m3 are not for the m3, they are for my mazda (it got accidented before I had a chance to put them on so I just stuck em on the M)
Exhaust is too loud, I've been told by cops to "fix" it

Umm and all the non D.O.T approved stuff I guess

Somehow I have never gotten a ticket for anything on my car (or missing). Even with the blatantly obvious euro plate cops don't say anything. And supposedly they were going to crack down on that crap. Meh, good thing cops are uber lazy here.

IMO, I think that cops have MUCH more important stuff to do than nit pick on cars, but if you bring attention to yourself....

          Balding tires.
          are H1/H4's illegal? ( I <3 them so much, I don't care)
          NC= no front plate FTW!!
I think that's it for now. I'm working on some more stuff, though.

p.s. People who don't have insurance? FTMFL.

You guys have it bad over there! :o

In the UK, The car has to have an MOT test once a year (takes an hour of checking it all works, not sharp edges ect) and I have loads of mates who are testers. ;)

Lighting: As long as it produces the correct colour in operation, the lenses can be any colour.

Suspension: no regs on that at all. The MOT tester checks that the springs don't fall out of the cups when jacked up, that's a fail if they do. Nothing a couple of cable ties won't cure

Tints: The front screen can have no tint at all applied, driver/passenger side windows have to let 70% of light through. Rear sides and rear screen can be whatever you like.

Cats: Any vehicle registered after 93 has to have a cat, But my last car was a 97 with a decat (Nissan almera hatch) and passed every MOT :D

Our cars have to be taxed, This is "to pay for better roads" But our roads suck, Holes everywhere! Tax for my 325i costs £180 per year i think.

Licence plates are a set format but I am running german syle plates which are classed as illegal. My theory is that the UK is part of the EU (European union) so if it is legal in other EU countries then it should be legal here. Not got pulled up on them yet.

I have never had any of my cars modifications checked for legality. :pimp:

But we do get raped for petrol. It's now at about £1 per ltr, But our standard fuel is 95 ron and premium is between 97-99 depending on garage.

Umm, does an extra liter of displacement count?

I'm completely legal, except for no side-markers and no front plate.

The no front plate is becoming a problem... Because I have to drive onto the Naval base for work. :(

                      Completely legal.

But I did "re-use" the smog cert for my recently purchased M42 project in a moment of brilliance -- it says in bold print "valid for 90 days for registration." It had been 62 and had been used once already for renewal by the po, but I tried it and it worked like a charm!

One thing that I found out was that most infractions are not grounds to be stopped by the police. Usually if you get stopped for something like speeding, then they can hit you for all of the other violations.

yeah the city has been sued in the past by MANY people with scratched rims. so they learned their lesson and started using the paper. I'm starting to regret actually paying the $1,300:( .......oh well

If i ever get booted, the plasma torch is coming out. I know a place that rents them for under 50 bucks an hour. In europe there are even businesses that will cut the boots off for you..

Actually removing a boot is considered theft.
