I think Hamilton is going to be going places in the future... and I think Alonso is very aware of this, think he realises he's not the young gun anymore.

Also I think BMW, is going places... especially after the 1st race, and this being their 2nd season with their own car, and not just a motor...

If BMW's motorsport history is anything to go by, they should be one of the top runners, and I would say in a few years be constructor's champions.

I've also heard rumours that Nissan is trying to get a team into F1... although I'm not sure, as their parent company Renault is there already... but hey an RB26 powered F1 car can't be 2 bad :P

well from the race that i saw i think mclaren is back. their cars held together and finished 1 and 2. the start showed it all when they passed BOTH Ferraris and Alonso just kept opening up a gap. Hamilton did a great job holding off both Ferraris till the end finishing 2nd in his 2nd F1 race. He racing is starting to impress me... As far as Ferrari goes, they did not have it this weekend. WIth overheating trouble in Kimis car and Massas place troubles...some work is being done in the Ferrari camp. Bmw !!!! YeS!!! This team is stepping up. They had a great weekend minus the Kubica troubles and finished in the points again. Heifeld even held off the Ferrari! I was very happy with their performance and beleive they will be strong throughout the season! As far as the other teams go, I was impressed by Renaults performance managing to score some points. I cant remember off the top of my head who finished where but I remeber Wurz having a good run in the Williams before the engine went. Malaysia was a tough race for everyone with its intense heat and track, the tyres and engine troubles show it! Mclaren, if they can stay Reliable is back, Ferrari is still in it but determined even more to get on top and Bmw Power is rising. What a great season!!!!!

Hamilton...who is this guy, and what planet did he come from? I like Massa the same way that I like Rubens..and I have never seen a driver get embareassed like that..well maybe Fisi in Brazil last year.

I'll put good money on odds that Kimi is getting his ass chewed as we speak. McLaren with a 1-2 finish, I was pretty surprised. All in all though, pretty boring-ass race. First few laps and the last few were all that really mattered.

True. I was watching it, and recording it, too. I feel asleep from laps 15-40 or so... Good thing I didn't miss much!

Nick Heidfeld #4 in points?? Kick ass!

I watched both races and I am a huge fan :)

3rd place in Bahrain for BMW. Bold prediction :)

Kubica will be piloting that car... I wish Heidfeld's car had the issues in Malaysia... I think Kubica would have been in 3rd...

                        *edit*

                        Hamilton... he is fast...

                        Manufacturer will be

1 - Mclaren(if they can actually stay racing and not break down... don't know how possible this is)
                        2 - Ferrari
                        3 - BMW!! WooT

i agree, but i think there are 4 teams to watch.

mclaren, they are back...MAYBE..last race could have been lucky for them, judging from their past experience mya mya mya

ferrari....they want it BAD and they have been dominating for awhile

BMW.....im very happy with their performance they look much more reliable and agressive this seasons

Renault...they are the ex champions...two years in a row...they havent given up yet i assure you

I agree on the points of which teams to keep an eye on. But there's one other that has shown some promise - and that would be the Williams Toyota car. Had Nico's car finished last weekend in Malaysia, he would've place 6th (I believe)....ahead of both factory Toyotas.

Since this weekends' event is race #3, most teams will be running new engines per the two race weekend per engine rule. It will be another hot one being in Bahrain but at least it's a dry heat ;-)
