As to the Ferrari MASSA / KIMI debut keep in mind Kimi was nursing the car and still came in 3rd. Where was Massa. 2nd race with poor results from Massa. On a side note I would like to see Hamilton win a race this year, the British would eat it up and Jenson would be sick.

Bahrain quali was on twice today.....who caught it? I'm not surprised to see Ferrari and McLaren occupying the front two rows....again. What did (and pleasantly so) is that both BMW Saubers are on row three of the grid for tomorrows' race. Glad to see their pace is steadily improving. Hopefully Kubica's car makes it to the checkered flag.

Here's a programing note since you're on the west coast like me: live broadcast of the race is at 4am and the taped replay is at 7pm. Make time to watch it :-D

I missed this mornings' broadcast of the race so I've been avoiding this thread and all motorsports news sites until I watched the replay this evening. Great race - BMW is clearly picking up the pace and Nick H. is driving with some fervor seeing his contract is on the line with BMW-Sauber. Hamilton is the real deal and I give him pretty good odds he'll win a race this season.....just gotta wait for Massa to have a bad day. Sato's ka-blam-o was impressive too :-D

Here's the top eight finishers (those who got points)

                        1. Massa
                        2. Hamilton
                        3. Kimi
                        4. Heidfeld
                        5. Alonso
                        6. Kubica
                        7. Trulli
                        8. Fisichella

                        Race details....

The race had a few 'events'. Speed and Button were taken out in the first lap, the other three Red Bull sponsored cars dropped out due to various mechanical gremlins, A. Davidson (Super Aguri) painted a good portion of the track with oil as his engine expired, Sato (Super Aguri) had the best ka-blam-o I've seen in a while....main straight & 19K rpm when it let go. Alonso had a less than ideal day and Kimi struggled with grip at times. Here's the best bit: three drivers (Alonso, Hamilton & Kimi) each have 22 points for the driver's title, Massa has 17 and Heidfeld has 15. McLaren is beating Ferrari in the constructors and BMW is gaining ground.

Now for the bad news: the Spanish GP is on May 13th - one month away :-(

I am real excited about this year. 3 way tie!!!! This is great. I would really like to see Hamilton win a couple. However I am a huge Ferrari fan so I hope they pull it out in the end. Kudo's to BMW as well, my wife meet Nick a few years back he is a super nice guy and deserves it.

i cannot stress that enough, they have the best coverage of F1 news and if you look hard enough you may find a race recap. acually its not hard to find, but you liuke Kimi, so yuou cant be too smart.

I didn't know this thread was on here. Well next race is in Spain and I will be there with my wife on vacation. I will post Spanish F1 pics when we get back. Also I will be at Indy for the race will anybody else be out there? Turn 1 is the best seat in the house I think.

I think Ferrari will win the constructors championship this year with a tight battle between Kimi and Massa. I prefer Massa.

McLaren will be second as constructors with Fernando edging out Hamilton. Hamilton looks great but I think he has a little beginners luck going and is a little to high on himself, however what a great calm first stint against Massa a couple of weeks ago.

BMW will be third as constructors occassionally showing up on the podium with a victory here or there possibly. Heidfeld will beat Kubica only because he hates him and does not want to lose his ride.

Renault will come on strong in the middle of the season and give BMW a run but wil not beat them.

As for the rest of them who knows, what a cluster. I am not a big fan for customer cars at all. I am for the Williams and Spyker teams and I hope they win the arbitration over Red Bull and Honda/Super Aguri, however I would love to see Super Aguri beat the rediculous budget of Honda with last years car.

Just my 2 cents, we will see what happens at the end, but there are alot more possiblilities without Michael!

100% agree... customer cars are just another step closer to going from Formula1 to Spec1... its already getting there with the tires and the new ECU
