Porsche 911 86-88, preferaby the latter. Turbo or factory turbo bodied, preferably the former. Fell in love with the 911 at about 7-8 yrs. old. First love. One fine day I WILL have one, oh yes, I WILL have one.

Don't know much about them, but I think Datsun 510s would be a pretty cool project car

 God I love that car. Wanted one before any car when I was younger, before E30's. Would definitely want that. And everyone's ideas here are awesome, especially the MGB GT with a S2000 engine. Or how about a Mini Cooper with a Type R engine?

As for anything else, me and my dad had a '71 Jaguar 2+2 V12 we were working on, before he had to sell it. Also, a Volkswagen Squareback or Fastback. Make it look right and you got yourself a pimp Cali surfer bum car.

        Reminiscing...

The second picture you have posted is a notchback.

              I'd definitely go with a '68 911 Targa (the soft-window) or a '60 MGA (such a classic looking car).

The MGA is a classic car. Made in the 50's = Classic.

Oh and yea I was thinking of the hatchback (Fastback). Notchbacks are awesome too, but I'd rather have a Squareback...

A friend of mine has a Squareback that he just rebuilt the engine and tranny in. They look sweet with roofracks on them.

There's one in our town w/ a Mazda 13B in it that auto-x's regularly. Damn sweet little car.

On a limited budget I would love to SR20det a 510. And if money was not as much of a problem a mid-late 70's 911 with modern turbo drivetrain. But yeah, 510's are very badass cars.

~1992 240sx with an sr20det swap. then remove the hatch-style rear end and turn it into del-sol style rear. as in, having a trunk and a flat back glass. make it a true 2 seater.
