Considering Renault is weaker than teams like Toyota and Red Bull this year who can blame him for not doing well? He may not be the best but I think people are looking at first year drivers like they should all be Jacques Villeneuve's and Lewis Hamilton's. Your car obviously sucks if you have a 2 time world champion in it and he finishes low or out of the points in most of the races, so you need to step it up design team not the drivers!

^ True. Renault used to be a major power in Formula One, but after Alonso left for McMerc things got much worse for Renault. Last year, with the R27, Renault struggled to get into the points (at least until the soggy Japanese GP, where Kovalainen got P2.) The R28 seems to perform very much like its predecessor in that respect, no matter how hard the 2 time WC tries, it's still not the car that the RB4 or even the TF108 is.
Piquet Jr. may be a decent driver; maybe with the likes of Rosberg, Trulli, or Massa; but he sure got stuck with a lousy team.- Trey

Translation, German magazine Sport Bild pulished that Brasilian Bruno Senna, nephew of Aryton Senna, is being considered by Honda, BMW-Sauber and Toro Roso for next season. He could go to BMW-Sauber as a test pilot or even as a starting pilot for 2009. I can't wait!

I only saw him race at Monaco because I think he is in GP2, but he qualified relatively high I believe. It was 6am so I wasn't all there lol but I just remember hearing Senna and him being decent. I don't see him making the splash that Hamilton made but that is probably a good thing. Though who knows, with a name like Senna he may get undue pressure.
Did they say if he would probably have a race seat at Toro Rosso? I guess he could replace Vettel if Vettel goes to Red Bull and at Honda he would probably replace Rubens but with BMW? I don't see him replacing Heidfeld unless Nick just has a terrible rest of the year, and even then probably not. Then again BMW-Sauber kinda did the same thing with Jacques and Robert so who knows.

He left because they were giving Robert his race seat for a race to "try" him out. Jacques basically saw where that was going lol and just left. I think Heidfeld is enough of a team player that he wouldn't get too pissed off and would probably understand. Might even motivate him to push even harder.

"I really have no favourite team," the São Paolista underlined. "First I want the GP2 title. That is hard enough, and still not a guarantee of a good Formula 1 car.
"What happened to Lewis Hamilton was unique. I want to take my first step in Formula 1, and it is just luck about which cockpits are free. If I cannot debut with a top team, I will have to first prove myself with a smaller one."
He's currently second in GP2 behind veteran Giorgio Pantano....

Then once he 'retired' all we heard was his input and dislike for 'driver of the week' that he was in a tiff with. JV had an opinion for everything, much likd DC, but atleast DC makes sense every once in a while. JV especially disliked MS because he tried to take him out, which he kinda did.
Anyway: id love to see Senna in F1. Ferrari line up of Senna and Massa... would be badass

Well DC is officially out now, announced his retirement finally which means probably Vettel is in for Red Bull. So Senna may end up on Toro Rosso after all hahaha, and Senna ending up at Ferrari next year is almost certainly not going to happen unless Kimi gets tired of the politics and leaves F1.
