Wow, BMW has lost pace in the last few rounds, as well as Ferrari.

Fuck McMerc, even though they used to be my favorite team, no mo'. WTF Toyota having pace the last few rounds, Alonso will not go to Honda, unless they pay him $40 mil a year.

E30Kaiser, I thought about that too, but I don't think anyone will be able to do a one stopper because of tire wear. Well, at least not be able to run any kind of pace on a one-stopper because of tire wear to make it worth it. I'm thinking Toyota may be light on fuel, run a SHORT frist stint on the super softs then go to the Prime's.

But that's just my drunken analysis.

In @#$^ing deed. That race was the jolt I needed to wake up hahaha. I am really happy for Heikki and Timo, sorry for Massa and Vettel :( Awesome race, now I have to wait 3 weeks for my F1 fix.

God damn luck. I know Hamiltons flat helped, but even at that Massa had this race in the bag. That start, OH that start! What a move, then to take off to a 5.5sec lead during the second stint only to have it blow with 3 laps left...

arg. this is an undeniable 10 points lost for Massa. Wait till the end of the season, i bet this is what keeps him from winning.

Good to see Kovy get a win, just wish it didnt happen like that. Massa deserved that win he had the field covered.

I still don't see how Hamilton seems to be the luckiest son of a bitch EVER in F1.

Flat tire at the beginning of the lap. Drives around slow and somehow gets back to 5th?

How does BMW run a 1 stop strategy and everyone else is on a 2 and can't even get in the points... That is ~25 seconds that other cars in pit that Heidfeld is not...

Sucks for Massa. Ferrari will come back. What a pass in the beginning!

^Because a 1 stop strategy doesn't work at the Hungaroring, refer to post #511.

Ok but that is atleast 25 seconds that ALL other cars are in the pits while Heidfeld is out running...

He STILL sat down in the mid runners and BMW until today was 2nd in the manufacturer title... Time for Heidfeld to leave, I love him to death but he is just not too hot right now.

                    Alonso-Kubica on 09 PLEASE!

BMWs pace was way off the mark this weekend. After watching Friday practice and quali on Saturday, you could see from the on board footage in these cars that both drivers were plagued with ill-handling hardware. On the newswire the story from BMW seems to be that this years car shines in low downforce configuration. With a high downforce setup, which is required for the Hungaroring, the balance of the car was no where to be found....particularly with Nick. He was constantly sawing at the wheel on entry and midway through many of the turns. Hard to be competitive if the car seems to have a mind of its own. Kubica faced similar issues as his teammate but he seems to have more skill at making the most from the car.

Toyota have clearly made some gains midway through this season. After all these year and eleventy gazillion dollars later its about time they started getting some noteworthy results. Timo Glock is shaping up to be a budding talent too.

Massa just got the shaft this weekend. Ran strong and consistant all weekend only to have it all go to shit with 3 laps from the checkered flag. I liked how the Speed commentators said Massa is probably back in the team transporter on suicide watch :-P

So now we have three weeks of waiting before the new street circuit in Valencia. I have a feeling this might be another struggle for BMW. Street course = max downforce and that doesn't bode well for Mario & Co. But then again, this is a brand new venue and since it is a street course, no one has had a chance to do practice laps to collect data. A lot of surprises could be part of the mix given this lack of familiarity for all teams involved. Should be good.

Gotta prop Piquet also. He backed up his lucky podium last race with a solid points position finish this week.

Looks like kicking Papa Piquet out of the garage was a good move. I hope he continues to improve.

Yes but when you are at least 1 second off the pace for the entire race over a 70 lap race........................that = 70 seconds, not 24.

Why does everyone still give crap to Heidfeld after 2 races straight of him putting in a much better performance than Kubica? Not to mention this race you can't hold anything against because he gained several positions and got screwed over in qualification.

He wasn't slowed in Quali. He had 3 or 4 laps BEFORE that to lay down a time. He was way off the lap before as well. That just happened to fall into place for him to be his 'crutch' so he didn't look as bad.

Kubica was in P7 and waiting till the session was over. Heidfeld is arguably in one of the top 6 cars on the grid, AT LEAST top 10 and he can't get out of Q3?
