I agree with you on those points, except for the 'times are inconvenient' part. When its on Fox, its 10am Sunday morning on the west coast.....a nice change allowing me to sleep in a bit since I normally wake up at 4:30AM to watch the pre-race show as well as the race on Sundays (if that ain't devotion to F1, I don't know what is). :-P
As for the commentary, yes it is clearly re-hashed to accommodate the Fox masses. I'm sure there are some who tuned in and said, 'Champ Car race today?' since F1 is popular everywhere else but here. What I also don't like is how the race is edited down to 2 hours. Pre-race show on Fox? Forget it. Full post-race trophy presentation and interviews with Windsor? Yeah, right. Even the formation lap coverage is edited down so as to fit the generous window of airtime Fox has provided. About the only thing I can tolerate is that the same Speed crew is announcing. Remember a couple of seasons ago when CBS carried F1 and Derek Daily & Ralph Shaheen were commentators? I just about had to watch it with the TV on mute. Glad those days are long gone.

I was really hoping to see Massa's reaction to Lewis' pass in the latter portion of the race.- Trey

the only thing about the times being inconvenient is that I work on Sundays so any reasonable time for normal people is inconvenient for me lol. Much rather wake up at 7 in the morning to watch the Practice session on Friday, Qualifications on Saturday and Race on Sunday. At least the horror is over. Speed FTMFWComment

O really?
Yeah our digital cable package doesn't have Speed in HD. This makes me want to look into satellite even more.......since the fuckers upped our TV/Internet package nearly $20 when we changed addresses, in the same town.

Yeah, well, with DirecTV you have to pay something like $10 more a month to receive programs in HD only after buying a HD satellite receiver from them. It's a bit of a hassle, but I have to admit, there are some HD programs that make that $10 seem very miniscule.- Trey

Glad you finally see the light. I dont know why no one is making a big deal that he's caused an incident in almost every race this year.
Am I the only one that was pissed off by Hamilton's passes at the end of the race? He would just dive down the inside, the two cars would then match speed on exit and Hamilton would then squeeze the other car ALL THE WAY to the grass to the point where the other driver was forced to let off the throttle. That doesnt compute as respectful racing in my mind.
As time went on, the factory developed the car each year, making it faster, more comfortable, and capable of handling at higher speeds.
You don’t want this. You want the trickiest, most dangerous, oldest model you can find. Only then can you prove to the world that you’re a man.Comment

Funny you should mention it, that's the only reason I'm watching today's re-airing. It seemed like he forced Massa off line quite a bit, so I am also looking forward to Massa's post-race response to said pass.Glad you finally see the light. Yeah I thought the same thing, and it was like night and day to watch his passes of Massa and Piquet and then watch Kimi's pass of Kubica. My opinion of Hamilton is basically sealed at this point. Great driver, not such a great attitude. A lot like Alonso hahaha.Comment
