Sooo chance of rain during qualification and decent weather for the race? Should be interesting though I like rain on race day more. Though after looking at the F1 website i think I am just reading it wrong because they said there is a probability of rain all weekend.

A wet Spa with no TCS, now this should be interesting.

Yeah - ran all weekend cannot be ruled out. Spa has a micro-climate lingering over the track which has proven to be tricky for the drivers and engineers when setting up the car. The tarmac can be bone dry in sectors 1 & 3 but raining in sector 2. The other thing about Spa which can catch out a driver is if they cut a tire or damage a wing shortly after rounding La Source on the run up to Eu Rouge, its a looooong way back to the pits. 4.3 miles per lap.

i am reading the press conference and I just thought this was a hilarious comment by Vettel:
Q: (Mike Doodson) This is a question for all four of you about pit stops. David Coulthard recently said that he thought the racing would be more interesting if there were no pit stops. He thinks that pit stops distort the results of the races. We've also had incidents with fires in Hungary and a mechanic who was hurt in Valencia. I'm interested to know if you drivers would be interested or would like to see the end of pit stops, which, incidentally, came in 15 years ago.
'SV: I think when we are about to retire, we are looking for more interesting races as well because we will be in a position to watch the races. Honestly, in the car the races are pretty interesting and you are pretty busy. As Nick said, next year there should be more overtaking, so hopefully that by the time we are retiring the racing is more interesting.

And I just wanted to know if Heidfeld is gay after this comment....
Q: To all of you: what is on your i-Pod?
KN: Any kind of music but most of it is Japanese pop. Since I came to Europe, I especially tend to listen more to Japanese songs, maybe to remind me of home.
SV: Any kind really, German folk songs are my favourite. Anything really, a bit of everything.
KR: Mostly Finnish music, all sorts. You wouldn't know, so it doesn't matter what I say.
NH: Yeah, similar to the others, a lot of different stuff, not a lot of classic stuff. No German folk music, more in the direction of R&B, hip-hop, not so much techno, more chill-out but various stuff.
SV: Why don't you like folk songs?
NH: Why do you like it, that's more difficult to answer, I think?
            SV: I like the lyrics.
NH: I like the smile on the singers' faces, just like yours.

+1. I liked Nico's brutally honest comment about taking Eau Rogue flat, something along the lines of "I feel like I'm going to get sick from compression of the hill." That ought to tell you what its got to be like for these guys....lap after lap.

Looks like the decent weather may hold for Sundays' race - but don't entirely bet on it (see those looming grey skies in the distance during quali?). Its definately a turning-point weekend for Ferrari. Either Massa or Kimi could come up as their leading man. Not-so-quick Nick is feeling some pressure from BMW-Sauber brass too.

Massa was pissed about something after the race. Any chance he wanted to go to intermediates and the team told him to stay out? The gmable played off so well for Heidfeld, you have to think that Massa could have walked away with it had he swapped out tires. . . .

They're penalizing Hamilton 25 seconds. Massa wins, Heidfeld 2nd, Hamilton 3rd. FUCKING BULLSHIT!!!

Thats pretty shitty. I hope they reverse that decision, maybe dock Hamilton 10 grid positions or something for Monza.

I was about to get on and talk about the plot twists that makes up a good spa race, and well... theres another one.
