Alonso was as impressive as the guys in front of him for getting that pig of a Renault into the second row.

^ Yeah if I didn't loathe FA as much as I do, I'd be pretty excited about that one. But, he has had amazing luck with that R28 compared to Piquet Jr.

Heidfeld continues to be seriously outpaced by Kubica, but it was awesome to see Kubi put up a fight against the likes of Ferrari and McMerc. It sounded like both BMW drivers (and Theissen as well) have higher expectations for this course, so tomorrow may play out well for them. There's talk of rain tomorrow, that should be interesting.

How about Kimi's "I don't care what everyone says" comments?

Weather update for the Canadian GP - taken from Yahoo....

Today: A mix of clouds and sun this morning. Showers and a possible thunderstorm developing this afternoon. Warm. High 82F. Winds WSW at 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 60%.

If this holds to be true, it could play into Ferrari's hands. In quali they were running a bit slower, most notably in sector 3, which has me wondering if the boys in Red are taking a gamble on the weather and running a set-up more favorable for those conditions.

Yep. Between the pitlane buttsecks of Hamilton/Kimi/etc. and now Alonso dropping out, this race is starting to play right into BMWs hands. A win is a win.....by sheer team/driver brilliance, by luck, or by a bit of both.

Ninja edit: Kubica's last pit just nabbed the lead from Nick. This is going to be good.

3 points off of Ferrari and, what, 17 points ahead of Mc-Merc. Lets see how the FGP turns out on the 22nd.
