He wasn't slowed in Quali. He had 3 or 4 laps BEFORE that to lay down a time. He was way off the lap before as well. That just happened to fall into place for him to be his 'crutch' so he didn't look as bad.

Kubica was in P7 and waiting till the session was over. Heidfeld is arguably in one of the top 6 cars on the grid, AT LEAST top 10 and he can't get out of Q3?

All the front runners use the same strategy in Q1, one flying lap with as little fuel as possible on fresh tires. The fact that Heidfeld was held up by multiple cars on his flying lap is not a "crutch". Not to mention if Kubica and Alonso end up on the same team, I am pretty sure Kubica would slowly but surely fall into depression and kill himself.

Kubica didn't set his Q1 fast lap on the last time across. Nor did most of the front runners. A top driver in a top car should be able to get out of Q3. End of the story.

He was barely blocked. I wouldn't have penalized anyone. He was slow end of the story. He is never going to win a championship, he is not that kind of driver. Alonso or Kubica could in the right car.

Hate Alonso all you want but he is just like MS. He can help develop a car and make it better, he is one of the best at that.

I never said anything bad about Alonso, I fully agree with that, he just seems to be the kind of person that is the polar opposite of Kubica as a person and a driver. And to say something like Heidfeld is never going to win a championship but Kubica can is very biased considering the resume of each driver. I just don't understand where all the hate on Heidfeld comes from, it is like the people that say Massa should be kicked off Ferrari for a bad start to the season, it's total BS. Give Heidfeld the credit he deserves, he has more fast laps than Kubica this year, and he would have a win over Kubica if he hadn't let him pass at Montreal(not saying Kubica was slower than him just saying he could have contested it and kept the win for himself).

To hate on a driver so much for not going into Q2 seems a little rash to me. If the same happens to Kubica I guarantee you there would not be nearly as much hate because of all the hype(though he deserves it) he has going for him right now.

I seem to remember him scoring higher than anyone except the Ferrari and McLaren drivers last year. Not to mention he has almost always outscored his team mates. He has just always had a mid pack car until last year.

Never said it was a "great" resume, just better than any likely replacements, and realistically, better than Robert's at this point, well I guess Kubica does have the "1" next to wins that Nick doesn't. Luck just doesn't happen to be on that resume hahaha. We will see at the end of this year and next year if someone takes over his role and does wonders with it.

Trulli has really come alive lately, it was funny to see him spin out all the time in practice and qualifying before they came to Europe though. Toyota is really taking it to everyone which is surprising.

Trulli didn't just come alive lately, he just finally has a decent car (its about time Toyotas $750 million a year F1 budget shows results!) I've been a fan of his and Webber for a long time.

Put either one of them in Ferrari or McMerc and they would both be title contenders just like the drivers who are there now.

I didn't mean Trulli had sucked before, just that he was finally getting results in the Toyota. It is very indicative of the car, as Timo has been flying as well as of late. I really wish they weren't doing so well though as I love Red Bull more hahaha. I do love to see any mid-field or back of the pack team getting good results though.

Well with DC out of the way at least half of Vettel's misfortunes are gone right there! Hopefully with the total revamp in the cars next year Adrian Newey's design skills can truely help Red Bull hoist itself up. Then all they need is mechanical good fortunes and they are set to have a great year.
