85.5 is not the distance of his commute. He said he was looking for a 85.5 model year 944 or later.

hold up, this thread doesn't make any sense

A Justy would be perfect if I could find a 4WD one.

                  Hands down, Audi 90 Quattro

My friend had one and he loved his. AWD V6. Probably a great snow car. I wouldn't know seeing as how I live in Florida.

Just DON"T get anything that you would be tempted to mod. Cause YOU WILL, and modding two cars is expensive! So I guess that 4Runner idea might be not so bad after all.

                    Not all Justy's were 4WD.
An Audi would be perfect but they are kinda expensive up here.

subie 1999 2.5rs. GReat in the cold, but they do invite mods. Or you could get a 1996 Impala SS. More space than you will ever need, the ability to swap in a 6-speed (bolts up to the corvette motor) resonable comfort, and good as a DD. Granted, i suppose that takes a bit of modding to be any fun...

LT1 Impala SS did not have Vette motors in them. They was only a cast iron head 2 bolt main LT1 motor.

The primary difference between the LT1 in the Impala and the LT1 that was in the Corvette and Camaro was that the Impala engine was fitted with cast-iron cylinder heads instead of aluminum ones, and a camshaft that was designed more for low-end torque than high-end horsepower. Another difference was that the Impala LT1 had 2 bolt main bearing caps while the Corvette LT1 had 4 bolt main bearing caps.
