    Cup Kit for Convertible

Hey, I want to order the H&R Cup Kit for my convertible. I know Turner has it at $600, and More Power Racing has it for approx. $550, but MPR's Cup Kit is specifically for non-cabiro and iX. Is there a difference between the two kits from different vendors? TIA

It'll work on the cabrio, but it's heavier, so it will sit lower. Cup Kits already sit too low in the rear, so it will be worse with the cabrio. It will look like your car is bent over taking a dump.

didn't someone with a white cabrio have it, it was ungodly low, and we all laughed at him for it.

heavier cars = need stiffer springs, soft and cabrio don't mix.

Only if you have the gay later lower arches ;)

It looks pimp on early arches.

This is frustrating. ALL the supsension kits for the convertible suck! The back sits low enough already. The front needs to be brought down 2 inches. And I have yet to see a kit that will give the E30 Cabrio a no suspension - back breaking feel.

I've read that the Dinan kit is the best. But I hardly believe that.

why don't you go with GC coilovers? it's a little more but you'd be happy with the results I think.

heh, I'd like to see an ix on the cup kit.. haha. the front CV axles would last about a week...

Nando is right. Although the GC kit may cost you some more, you will have a wide variety of spring rates and ride height settings to dial in your car to exactly how you want it. The guys at GC are knowledgable too. Explain to them what you have, what you want to do, and how you use your car (daily driver, auto-x'er, etc.) and they can come up with something that should work well.

Personally, I've never had GC stuff on my car, but I know of several BMW-folk who have and they are happy with it.

So I can order the Cup Kit from More Power Racing even though it says "Not Convertible and iX" ?

I don't have the money right now for GC and would rather wait to get a 325is to put GC's on. Would make more sense to me as my next car would most likely be a 325is.

I'm not positive, but I never knew their were different e30 cupkits, I'm pretty sure they are all the same.
