I've never had my locks freeze from usage with the trunk mounted central locking mod. I can't twist my lock with the key in this weather to save my life but the trunk always unlocks it for some reason.
my locks were always perfect though until some fucking homeless prick tried to use a screwdriver to break the lock.. didn't work but now it's a bit sticky. good thing i use keyless most of the time..
DO NOT USE WD-40 ON LOCKS. All it will do is collect dirt and clog the lock. Use graphite based lock lubricant instead. It's made to wick away water and will not hold dirt like oil will.
I taped up the window with duck tape and left some off so i could break the window.
I took a pieace of porselen used my pliers to hold it and hit it against the window, one try adn phress window busted. The other is held on with the tape reached my hand in there and tried to unlock it and had a hard time unlocking, so used my pliers to pull up on the lock and all i heard was cresshshs from the ice crushing.
Good thing i have a friend that has a extra rear passenger window.

thats pretty extreme, i think you got a little carried away on this one. My locks freeze all the time and i have never considered breaking the window to get inside.
When mine are cold and it is frozen (keep in mind this is not sanitary) I put the key in my mouth for like a minute and stick it in the lock and work it back and forth. Has always worked for me. Sorry you had to bust the window
