um, I'm no expert but buying a car at 13 and fixing it up does not qualify you as a mechanic. I'm pretty sure you need some sort of education to be a real mechanic, I don't think working on some old POS Poontang is going to teach you how to diagnose modern cars.

Pin Stripes On Hood????

You know, we just had an E30 roll into our shop with the same stripes on it's hood and it looked really good! Really surprised me that I liked it! Definitely see if you can get some from Blunt, the fact that it's an original factory option makes it so much cooler.'89 325is S50 Track Montser

LOL holy shit this thread derailed.
Anyway fwiw my '86 325 (not e or i) has pin stripes (decals) on the hood and on the sides. They are peeling away and look old as hell so I assumed it came like that from the factory. Apparently they don't, and apparently there is a lot of passion over the subject!! lolsigpic
