Drove my s52e30 for the first time

Tonight I went by the shop that's been working on my engine swap. They had the car to the point that it is driveable and let me take it for a spin. One word to describe the engine - Growwwlllll.....it has a ton more "grunt". To quote the mechanic it will go from 0-100 in a hurry - he wasn't lying. Feels real good. They have some minor things to work out - like none of the windows will roll down - fan gets stuck on the radiator - etc...

But they are close to being done. I can't wait to drive it again. Thinking of taking to Drivers School at Road Atlanta in October.....

I know the feeling. I remember taking mine out for the first time. Tthe ferocity of the S50 is just awesome when combined with an E30 chassis.

I am in GA. Strictly German is doing the swap - they sourced all the parts and are performing all the labor. They are in Braselton - about 2 miles from Road ATL.....

I don't have the final bill yet - but it is going to be around 7-8k....

From my point of view (old guy with no time) it's worth it to me to have someone do the swap and I drive away....

I know that place, I visit there often. It is like 20 minutes away. I didn't know they were capable of doing the m50/s50 swap. Which car is yours because I might have seen it the last time I was down there.

EDIT: I just looked at your pics. Were you in Gainesville today around 3 or 4. I saw a car just like yours parked across the street from a car audio/alarm place. Your car looked fucking hot as shit.

It's been up there for 2 weeks. So if you have been there recently you have seen it.

Wasn't in Gainesville today - the car was at the muffler shop getting the exhaust fabricated around that time - not sure where he took it - but would be suprised if it was way over there.....might have been mine - dunno. I do know that at 4:30 it was back in Braselton cuz I was in it burning up and down 53....

Thats just fine and dandy.. but then you have no right to have pride in your machine, as its not your workmanship.

-Jordan, who thinks it is very funny that someone would pay $8k for engine transplant.

If you wait to meet up untill after the 8th of august let me know. As I'll be in Buford getting parts at the junkyard either the 10th or 11th most likely.

                            Hey Jordan,

You are an interesting guy. I take pride in my 4 year old son. I take pride in my family and the life I have built for myself. I take joy from my car and the pleasure it gives me. As sad as it is - I unfortunately have too much going on to spend the time to do "major" projects like this on the car right now. So I pay someone - and enjoy the ride.

Now I will say that I admire the work you have done on your car. It looks very nice and I know how much work it has to have been.

But do you always have to be such a jackass?

Your car looks amazing and I see nothing wrong with you getting strictly german to do the swap for you. They are awesome people! They sourced one of the cleanest 3.73lsd and getrag 260s for me. Very pleased. Please post pics of your car when it is finished. I cant wait.
