I wouldn't do manual labor one more day if i had the money.

Not sure about you guys, but a big part of my DIY work is because of the money. But if I had money to blow, then hell yea i'll let someone else do the work.

And I would ship my car off to Bryson to do the 24v swap. If I had the money

Honesly i'm envious of gae30 because his wife is letting him spend that kind of money on a project, so obviously he's doing something right. Work smarter, not harder.

peace, love, and harmony in 2005.

What has age done to you William? You used to be nice on BEN when I first signed on but now the few times I do hear from you its a negative comment. Its not just this gae30, its been a pattern.
      Im now E30less.

There are two, one is on the south end of the I-285 Perimeter and the other is on Buford Highway. The one below the perimeter is the biggest one and the one I usually like to go to. Entrance is only $1 and you can buy stuff for dirt cheap. They have only a couple E30's though and they are mostly early 318i's I have seen a 325e or two also a few E21's. It's a good place to go and roam or if you need a couple random pieces. I found a new rear defroster switch amongst other little tiny things. I pulled a turbo from an old Volvo diesel just to have one on my bookshelf for fun. Also got a fully functional intercooler for $11. Cheeeeap stuff but bring your tools, you have to pull the stuff yourself.

I take this to mean that you have NO pride in your paint job? That short bus you rode was even shorter than I thought

Not everybody is as mechanically inclined as Mr. HolierthanthouJordan. And not everybody has the free time to do such a feat. I have done engine swaps before and it is a pain in the ass. I would pay someone to do my engine swap if it were my daily driver or if I didn't have time. But neither of those things were the case. I do agree you take more pride in your vehicle if you do the work yourself but sometimes thats just not possible. Lighten up and be a little more understanding instead of shooting down everyone elses thoughts or opinions. Thats all they are are thoughts and opinions. Judging by your car you would want to promote individuality Jordan.
